Texas Land & Cattle Steak House opens third restaurant in Houston

Texas Land & Cattle Steak House has opened its newest Houston location at 11900 Dickinson near the Beltway 8 and I-45 South interchange. The restaurant, known for serving its steaks Texas style, will offer its mouthwatering, signature smoked sirloin, ribeyes and filets, baby back ribs and a variety of chicken and seafood dishes.

“Our philosophy is that, if you provide excellent food and outstanding service in an inviting atmosphere at a reasonable price, people will want to come back,” said Gulfpointe General Manager, Ray Hernandez. “This location, with its easy access, is ideal for introducing that philosophy to a part of Houston that may not have had the opportunity to try Texas Land & Cattle Steak House before.”

The distinctive steak house is the third in Houston and the fifteenth for the Dallas-based operation named by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States.

Signature menu items include: Texas Land & Cattle Steak House’s Pepper-Smoked Sirloin, specially seasoned, slow-cooked and sliced to order in 10-ounce and 16-ounce portions; The Trail Boss Margarita, a 16-ounce frozen Margarita made with Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila and a special lime mixture; and Branding Iron Margaritas, hand-shaken sipping margaritas, featuring a choice of top-shelf tequilas.

Texas Land & Cattle Steak House evolved from the purchase and conversion of the famous Night Hawk restaurant in Austin, which had satisfied appetites for seven decades. Founders David Franklin and Aaron Fogiel created an authentic Texas ranch house setting with large fireplaces, booths and portions. The Dallas-based restaurant chain has since expanded to fifteen locations in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Lubbock, and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
