Togo’s introduces new sirloin steak & mushroom sandwich
Togo’s sandwich chain today announced the
addition of a new seared Sirloin Steak & Mushroom Sandwich creation to its seasonal
menu line. Togo’s new sandwich is the only steak sandwich from a quick service
restaurant chain made from 100 % sirloin beef, instead of reformed steak frequently used
by market competitors.
Togo’s is also the only quick service restaurant chain to utilize
this level of quality steak and a searing process typical of specialty steak restaurants.
The new Sirloin Steak & Mushroom Sandwich combines bite-sized, tender choice cuts of
beef, sautéed mushrooms and a choice of Togo’s signature toppings.
The Togo’s
Corporate Culinary Team developed a specialized cooking technique to ensure the steak
remains tender and juicy.
“At Togo’s we are dedicated to inventing delicious sandwich creations that people crave,
so we used only choice cuts of sirloin combined witha cooking process that sears the
meat to preserve natural juices,” said Drew Tyriver, Togo’s Executive Chef and Manager
of Product Development.
“Our steak is not pressed meat, but rather a sirloin steak that is
seared, and similar to what you would enjoy at a fine steak house.”
The new Sirloin Steak & Mushroom Sandwich will be available for $4.99 for a regular,
and $5.99 for a large. Participating stores will offer the new menu item for a limited time
only. Togo’s will support the introduction of the Sirloin Steak & Mushroom Sandwich
with in-store promotions.
Television and radio spots will also help introduce the new
sandwich to the public through Togo’s the recently launched advertising campaign, “The
Legend of Togo’s.”
