The largest Ruth's Chris steaks out Mississauga

Mississauga is sizzling today with the opening of the largest ever Ruth's Chris Steak House.

Ruth's Chris is the largest upscale steak house company in the world, featuring Prime steaks broiled at 1800 degrees and served sizzling. The Mississauga restaurant is the largest of the 89 fine-dining Ruth's Chris restaurants worldwide.

Located at 77 City Centre Drive, the newest Ruth's Chris is owned by Canadian-born Lana Duke, owner of three other Ruth's Chris franchises including the first Canadian location in Toronto and two restaurants in San Antonio, Texas.

Ruth's Chris specializes in aged, corn-fed Prime beef, broiled at high temperatures to sear in the natural flavour and served sizzling on a heated plate to keep each steak hot and juicy. Other menu items include select fresh seafood, meat entrées, a selection of fresh cooked vegetables including seven varieties of potatoes, salads and homemade desserts.

Ruth's Chris Mississauga is over 13,000sf and features four private dining rooms with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment which will cater to its new business neighbours. The restaurant boasts a 320-seat dining room with an additional 50- seat Bar Lounge. The restaurant was designed by Brampton, ON-based D-Zign Interior Planning & Project Management.

"Mississauga has never seen a restaurant of this caliber," said Lana Duke. "From the quality of food and level of professional service, to our extensive catering and banquet facilities, Ruth's Chris will appeal to the family celebrating a special occasion or the business person entertaining clients.

With 90 employees, Ruth's Chris is open seven days a week, serving dinner from 5:00 pm. The restaurant opens for lunch beginning November 24, 2003 from 11:30 am.
