Rational launches GriddleGrid for high-volume combi grilling: 100 steaks in 11 minutes
Rational has launched GriddleGrid, a new optional accessory for grilling with the ClimaPlus Combi ovens. The GriddleGrid is a designed to be the perfect surface for grilling a wide range of steak, fish or vegetables in the CPC. It will grill quickly, perfectly, and giving an appetising ‘chargrill’ pattern on the food.
Available in standard gastronorm 1/1 size to fit all CPC ovens, GriddleGrid is very fast when used with the CPC technology. Typically, over 100 steaks can be chargrilled simultaneously in a CPC-202 oven in just 11 minutes, or in 14 minutes from frozen.
The new GriddleGrid is expected to appeal to larger caterers in situations such as banqueting, company canteens or hospital catering, where chargrilling has traditionally been avoided because of its labour-intensive nature.
The secret to GriddleGrid’s convenience is in the proprietary coated surface of the grill, which transfers the heat effectively, scorching the food attractively. It also prevents food from sticking, and makes cleaning very easy.
