Live lobsters are worth the trouble of speedy delivery

It is a commonly help opinion that live is the only way to buy lobster. Live lobsters can be seen kept in tanks in many of the finest restaurants around the world. They are kept live and on view until someone selects them for their dinner. The live lobsters are then removed from the tank and taken to the kitchen for preparation by the chef. It is usually just the tail that is served after coking but some people enjoy the whole animal. There have been some recipes created that call for lobster meat and it may be frozen meat in this case, although it is an opinion of many that lobster meat is really only good fresh.

People’s preference for live lobsters causes a problem if they do not live near a shore that produces lobster. Shipping live lobsters increases the price of the meat but this does not deter it from remaining popular. Suppliers will usually arrange to ship to your nearest airport and leave the rest up to you. This is not a delivery you want to miss as the clock is ticking on the life of the product. For an extra charge you can arrange for home delivery but time may be lost in relying on other people to provide the transfer.

Whether you enjoy them in a restaurant or have them delivered to your home, live lobsters are a gourmet dinner that you will want to repeat several times a year if possible. You will get to know when the season is and wait anxiously for your treat.
